  • ½ tsp chili flakes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) whole peeled tomatoes
  • 2.2 pounds mussels
  • 4 thyme sprigs
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • parsley, for serving


  1. Before you start cooking. Peel and deveine the shrimp, combine with ½ teaspoon each: salt, pepper and smoked paprika. Thinly slice the onion, mince the garlic and chop the celery stalk.
