At the end of next month, my class and I are making a trip to the beach. It will be little Tot ’ s first beach experience, and while The Husband is a fiddling apprehensive about road tripping it with a toddler, I am quite excited .
It ’ s pathetic, actually. I live about three hours from the Gulf of Mexico, yet it has been many years since I ’ ve step foot on a beach .

All this talk about the beach and swimsuits made me realize that my body was, well, less than swimsuit ready. Despite the fact that I work out for an hour four days a workweek, I have somehow managed to hold on to 10 pounds that I gained after getting married and then five pounds of baby weight. It was pretty frustrating .
then person suggested possibly it was my diet. possibly I was eating besides many carbohydrates ? Well, that could be entirely true. I love boodle. I love pasta. And I love rice. So I spent a few weeks tracking what I ate and discovered carbs made up about 60-70 % of my diet. Yeesh. . .
thus I ’ ve been doing the hale low-carb thing for the last few weeks – something I said I would never be able to do because I love bread, I love pasta, and I love rice. But it hasn ’ thymine been excessively frightful. I ’ meter eating less boodle and more list protein and vegetables. I knew protein tends to make you feel more full, so no surprise that I ’ thousand not very that hungry during the day. I decidedly feel stronger during my workouts and the best separate – I ’ ve lost 11 pounds ! !
The most challenge separate of any meal design has been finding modern recipes. After while I started to run forbidden of ideas. That ’ sulfur when I decided to experiment with a few random spices in my cabinet. Catfish is a reasonably inert flavored, low cost fish. I seasoned both sides with the spiciness rub, then grilled it in my cast iron skillet. I was so please with how this frying pan grilled wolffish turned out. Full of spirit, identical satisfy, and promptly enough that it could well be prepared as a weeknight meal .

Skillet Grilled Catfish
Looking for moo carb dinner options ? Try this frying pan grilled wolffish recipe that is full of relish and easy enough for a weeknight meal .
- 4 catfish fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon each cumin, onion powder, salt, flat coat black pepper, and garlic powderize
- 2 teaspoons grind marjoram
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 ounce calcium hydroxide juice
- 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- rinse pisces under cold water. Pat dry with wallpaper towels .
- Heat oil in a large, oven-proof frying pan over medium-high heat. Adjust an oven rack to the top third of the oven and preheat broiler .
- In a small bowl, trust cumin, onion powder, strategic arms limitation talks, ground black pepper, garlic powderize, and marjoram. Sprinkle fish on both sides with spice assortment .
- Add wolffish fillets to the frying pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side .
- Remove from heat and add birdlime juice and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese .
- place pan under broiler and continue to cook until fish is firm and tall mallow is melted, about 2-3 extra minutes.

- Remove from oven and allow to sit for two minutes .
Notes Any firm white fish can be substituted for catfish.
